A high-performance online ordering system for a busy sushi restaurant in Antwerp, Belgium.

Diamond Sushi is a premier restaurant in Belgium with huge delivery demand. A dedicated team of four built a fast, reliable ordering platform that captures every order, even at the busiest times.
The challenge
Their existing solution couldn’t handle peak-hour traffic, which meant lost orders and a poor customer experience. They needed an intuitive system with 99% uptime that handles heavy traffic and processes payments seamlessly.
My approach
- Designed a fast, mobile-first ordering journey in React to reduce cart abandonment.
- Built a Node.js API on a structured MySQL database to handle high volumes of orders, menu items and customers.
- Integrated Stripe for secure, PCI-compliant payments.
- Deployed on an optimised VPS configured for high availability under heavy load.
